**UPDATE: Due to the incredible outpouring of stories, photos, and personal memoirs for the SWET anniversary story, we have decided to expand that section significantly. In order to still feature all the bands and festival coverage for July, we are expanding the issue to cover July/August and will feature over 14 pages of stories**
In honor of the beloved music institution's 39th anniversary, Fuel The Scene Magazine dedicates the July print issue to THE SOMEWHERE ELSE TAVERN. Owned and operated by local music guardians, Burley and Crystal Hayes, The Somewhere Else Tavern has been a pillar of the southeast music scene for nearly four decades. This issue will feature an interview with Burley Hayes as he takes us through the club's origins and journey over the years along with stories from members of the SWET family—musicians and patrons alike—sharing just how much the club and the Hayes' support means to them.
All proceeds from the sale of this issue will go directly to The Somewhere Else Tavern to help it reach its 40th year! You may also opt to include a donation with your order, 100% of which will go directly to the club.
Size: 8.5'' x 11''
34+ full color pages (still including The Editor's List, album reviews, festival reviews, interviews, and more!)
We will be accepting orders until September 15th, 2018 at 5PM so that we can give the printers an accurate count. After that date, we can't guarantee you'll get an issue! After that, all orders will be fulfilled until copies run out.
NOTES: Production for small-run printing takes up to 10 days before they even ship them to us, so please be patient as we get your issues to you!
Fuel The Scene does not make profit off of the print issues—the cost of each issue only directly covers printing costs and shipping to us—but we wanted to make sure the sales of this issue go to benefit Burley, Crystal, and the Tavern so all proceeds will go to help The Somewhere Else Tavern reach its 40th year! 100% of additional donations will go directly to the club.
